The Rarest Lego Sets And How Much They're Worth (2025)

Lego sets come and go, with many of them remaining rather exclusive. This includes old sets, as well as sets that were only given out for a specific event, such as a convention or festival. Interestingly, many sets that are rare were originally offered for a lower price or even free!

So, which sets are the rarest? In this list, we are going to take a look at some of the rarest Lego sets out there. Prices fluctuate over time, so these will be sets that are rare and generally pricey, with average prices listed for each.

This list doesn't include all the rarest Lego sets; we've just included a handful of the most interesting rare sets out there.

8 Brick Moulding Machine

The Rarest Lego Sets And How Much They're Worth (2)

First up, we have the Brick Moulding Machine. This rare set came out in 2021 and was only available to purchase in The Lego House, which is in Denmark. If you happened to purchase it there, it would cost around $100 USD. If you are looking for this set anywhere else, it's worth over $400 USD (depending on the seller).

The set itself is a moulding machine, which can actually be found in The Lego House. The machine is used to produce Lego bricks, making this a unique set to display among your Lego, which has been created with a similar machine.

7 Indiana Jones/Han Solo Transformation Chamber

Star Wars and Indiana Jones are both two massive franchises, but what if there was a crossover? Well, if you attended the Lego Toy Fair Collectors Party in 2008, then this was a reality. At this event, 100 copies of this Star Wars/Indiana Jones crossover set were given out. If you are unfamiliar with these franchises and why there is a crossover, Harrison Ford played both Han Solo and Indiana Jones.

How much would this cost you today? With just 100 of these in existence, it's pretty hard to find one, but according to BrickEconomy, a sealed version of this crossover set costs over $9,000 USD. You can also find sets of various conditions, but they all are still worth thousands of dollars.

6 Star Wars Cloud City

The second Star Wars appearance on our list is of the 2003 Cloud City set, based on The Empire Strikes Back. This set comes with a handful of minifigs including Darth Vader, Luke, Leia, Lando Calrissian, Han Solo (as well as a carbonite version), Boba Fett, and a Stormtrooper.

As a set packed with minifigs, you can expect this to be quite pricey. So pricey, in fact, that many listings are over $5,000 USD. In addition to the minifigs, the set comes with the Cloud City platform for your crew to stand on (or watch from their collector's box).

5 Skull's Eye Schooner

The Rarest Lego Sets And How Much They're Worth (6)

This is one of the first sets on our list that is rare (and expensive) simply because it's old. The Skull's Eye Schooner set came out in 1993 and was packed with 912 pieces to make an iconic Lego pirate ship that goes for anywhere from $500 to $1,500 USD.

The price varies a lot, as versions of this set being sold greatly vary in quality. Interestingly, we've also found a set being sold for over $6,000 USD with everything still in its original packaging! This is a lot of money, but it can be hard to find an older set in pristine condition.

4 The Vault Memory Lane

The Rarest Lego Sets And How Much They're Worth (7)

The Vault Memory Lane is a set from 2024, making it fairly new compared to most on our list. The only way that this set was obtainable was by participating in the Lego Inside Tour. This is a unique, three-day tour that Lego hosts, bringing guests to exclusive locations.

The tour itself isn't cheap; you can expect to spend thousands of dollars per person. Recent tours have been reported to cost about $3,000 USD per person. Due to this steep price, The Vault Memory Lane can run well past $10,000 USD! The set is also signed by Henrik Anderson and Stuart Harris, who designed the set.

3 H.C. Andersen's Clumsy Hans

The Rarest Lego Sets And How Much They're Worth (8)

Next up, we have the H.C. Andersen's Clumsy Hans set. This was also a Lego Inside Tour set, in which only 80 were made and given to participants for free in 2015. Interestingly, there is another version of this that was given to 320 Legoland Florida Ambassador pass holders, also in 2015.

It seems that sets exclusive to the Inside Tours are pricey, so it only makes sense that this set often goes for over $4,000 USD. The set itself is based on the H.C. Andersen story called 'Clumsy Hans', which was published in the mid-1800s.

2 Ole Kirk's House

The Rarest Lego Sets And How Much They're Worth (9)

Ole Kirk's House is a unique Lego set that was only given to Lego employees in 2012. As such, the set was free but now, you can expect to see run anywhere from $100 to $500 USD. This isn't the most amount of money, but it's interesting to know that every version of this set was originally a Christmas gift for a Lego employee.

1 Exclusive T. Rex

The Rarest Lego Sets And How Much They're Worth (11)

Last but not least, we have the Exclusive T. Rex set. In total, there are 500 copies of this set in existence, which were given out as part of a contest at toy stores. Out of these 500 sets, 100 of them were given away in Belgium for free.

If you want to get your hands on this impressive Jurassic World set, you can expect to pay anywhere from $7,000 to $11,000 USD depending on the condition. We've found several sets on Ebay that are still sealed in the box going for around $10,000 USD.
